Voodoo Magic in Onlyspins Casino

Your first spin at Voodoo Magic

Voodoo Magic: five reels and 40 paylines. Voodoo Magic is a witchcraft-themed slot released by Pragmatic Play in 2021 across five reels and four rows. Wins form on 40 paylines when three or more matching symbols land in combination. The base game features stacked wilds, mystery symbols and random wilds that appear during your spin, alongside tumbling reels that cascade wins. High volatility means wins arrive less often but can be significantly larger.

Voodoo Magic for patient, ambitious players. This slot suits players who enjoy high-volatility games and can sustain longer spins without payouts, chasing bigger wins when they land. Betting ranges from NZ$0.20 to NZ$240, so it accommodates both cautious and aggressive stakers. The guaranteed-win mechanics of its bonus round appeal to players seeking some control over outcomes, though this is not a frequent-winner game.

How does the Free Spins Round work? The Free Spins Round shapes play most significantly. Landing three bonus symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 triggers a pick mechanic where you choose one of three face-down cards, each unlocking a different free spins variant with its own minimum payout guarantee. Voodoo Free Spins guarantees 10 times your total bet; Super Voodoo guarantees 25 times; Mega Voodoo guarantees 50 times. The round retriggers, allowing wins to climb substantially.

When you trigger the bonus features

Pick a card, pick your guarantee. Three BONUS symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 trigger this round. You pick one of three face-down cards, and the game randomly awards one of three variants, each starting with 5 free spins and adding MYSTERY symbols to the reels: Voodoo Free Spins with a 10x total bet minimum guarantee, Super Voodoo Free Spins with a 25x guarantee, or Mega Voodoo Free Spins with a 50x guarantee. If cumulative wins have not reached the guarantee after the initial 5 spins, the round continues until they do.

Voodoo Magic's potion picker bonus. Two BONUS symbols on reels 2 and 3 without one on reel 4 trigger Pick a Potion. You choose one of two identical potion bottles, which resolves into either MYSTERY CURSES or FORTUNE HEX. MYSTERY CURSES adds random WILD symbols to random positions after the spin ends, then pays all winning combinations. FORTUNE HEX removes all low-value and BONUS symbols from the screen, lets new symbols fall in, and pays winning combinations from the high-value symbols that remain.

Pick your potion outcome. Exactly two BONUS symbols on reels 2 and 3 without one on reel 4 activate this feature during your base game spin. You choose between two visually identical bottles and reveal either MYSTERY CURSES, which scatters WILD symbols across the reels in random spots and pays all matches, or FORTUNE HEX, which clears low-value and BONUS symbols to make space for high-value symbols to cascade down.

Why the maximum win stays out of reach?

When the round comes. No player knows when the bonus round arrives. The three BONUS symbols that trigger Free Spins land when the game decides, not on a schedule. One session might bring several rounds; the next might bring none.

Voodoo Magic averages, not promises. The RTP of 96.50% describes an average across thousands of spins, not the result of your session today. Your first spin might win, might lose, or might land anywhere between—the maths of the game allows all three.

Knowing the maximum means nothing. The ceiling of NZ$240 000 sits out of reach on almost every spin. Reaching the maximum win of 1000x your bet at the top stake is so rare that planning around it makes no sense.

Responsible play keeps the fun alive

Choose your spending limit. Decide what you can afford to spend on this session before you start playing. Voodoo Magic's high volatility means wins come less often and can be much bigger, so give yourself realistic room to play.

Decide when to quit. Plan when you will stop playing, whether you're ahead or behind. Winning streaks can feel endless, but walking away protects your balance for another day.

Account limits at work. Use the deposit and loss limits on your Onlyspins account to hold yourself to your plan. These tools keep your spending from creeping beyond what you set.

Moment to pause. When the game stops being a diversion and starts feeling like a need, step back or self-exclude. Gambling Helpline New Zealand, The Problem Gambling Foundation of New Zealand and the Multi-Venue Exclusion Programme are there to help.
